Yamaha Online Services MIDI Year In Review: 1975!

In 1975, Wheel Of Fortune and Saturday Night Live premiered on NBC. The Steelers beat the Vikings in Super Bowl IX, and The Rocky Horror Picture Show opened on Broadway. Bill Gates founded Microsoft in New Mexico, and Muhammad Ali defeated Joe Frazier in a boxing match in the Philippines.

In music news, Peter Gabriel left Genesis, and the seminal heavy metal band Iron Maiden is formed. Three Led Zeppelin concerts at Madison Square Garden sold out in a record 4 hours, and the film version of The Who's Tommy premiered in London.
