What are Midi files? MIDI files are digital songs which can be played back on MIDI-capable instruments or other musical devices.

How can you use them? Midi Files can be loaded into keyboards, synthesizers and other instruments, and played back using the sounds of that instrument. For example, the demo songs which come preloaded in digital keyboards are MIDI songs, but many keyboards are capable of loading additional songs to supplement these. What are Style files? Style Files are files that provide an automatic rhythm and harmonic accompaniment when you play your keyboard.

How can you use them? Style Files contain background auto-accompaniments (styles) for digital keyboards. These accompaniments can provide full backing tracks based on chords or notes you play with your left hand, as well as rhythms and harmonies that follow along with different sections of songs as you play. Styles are a great way to easily play different types of music, since different styles will provide backing tracks for different genres such as jazz, rock, latin, etc. The styles sold on Yamahamusicsoft can be added to the style libraries on compatible instruments to expand their music making capabilities.

What are PianoSoft files? PianoSoft is software containing professionally recorded song files that play through your instrument.
